We’re getting in touch to make you aware of a global data breach which occurred during the period 2 – 4 June 2023. The breach was a targeted cyber-attack on multiple organisations utilising software called ‘MOVEIt’. We’re contacting you because one of our suppliers, a mailing house (who work with us to print and post communications to our customers), has been impacted by the data breach. 

Please be assured that we take security of our customers’ data seriously, and we have taken all steps necessary to safeguard against the potential impact of this cyber-attack. 

You will now receive a letter from us that gives more information around this incident, however in the meantime please see the below guidance that highlights a number of ways that you can protect yourself from fraud.

• Always question unsolicited calls, emails or texts requesting personal or financial information
• If you’re unsure if the caller/company is legitimate,  tell them you will call them back, do not accept the number they gave you, look on the company website or if you have a relationship with the company look for past correspondence to obtain the number.
• Keep safe online – change your passwords regularly and make them as complex as you can remember.
• Never give anyone your bank PIN or National Insurance Number
