Select what change you'd like to make to your account below and we'll give you useful information on what you need to know...
Adding or removing a borrower from your mortgage is subject to eligibility and an affordability assessment. If you want to change a customer on your existing mortgage, this process is known as a transfer of equity. Transferring equity is when you apply to either add or remove a customer from an existing Bluestone Mortgage. The two may co-occur, for example, where one customer is replacing another. Complete this transfer of equity form and email it back to customersupport@bluestonemortgeges.co.uk.
You will need permission from us before you rent your home. To apply and check eligibility, please complete this Consent to Let application. Once you have completed it, email it back to customersupport@bluestonemortgeges.co.uk. If approved, you can temporarily rent/let out your existing property.
A third-party authorisation form validates to Bluestone Mortgages that you allow a third party to receive information about you and your mortgage. It may enable the third party to take action for you. You can choose for anyone to have Third Party Authority, but they must have valid authority from everyone named on your mortgage. They’ll only be able to access your mortgage information and not make any changes to your account. You must tell Bluestone Mortgages what the third party can and cannot do. Complete this third-party authorisation form and email it back to customersupport@bluestonemortgeges.co.uk.
If you’re married or divorced, you can update the name on your account with us. We don’t charge a fee for this change.
To do this, we’ll need to see one of the following documents:
You’ll need to send the above to customersupport@bluestonemortgeges.co.uk.
Once you provide us with the necessary information and documents, we’ll update your records and start using your new name.
It takes a short time to arrange this, and you might receive letters addressed to your old name for a while.
Please keep us updated with your contact details. There’s no fee to make any changes.
We’ll update your phone number once you provide us with your new details. If you’re changing your correspondence address, it will take us a few days to update our records, and as part of this process, we’ll also ask you to tell us why. Once the change has been made, we’ll write to you at your new address to confirm that our records have been updated.
We’re here to take care of the mortgage details so you can focus on what matters most. The quickest and easiest way to inform us about a death is to email or call us. You can find more information about bereavement support here.
We hope this information is helpful with any questions you have. It gives you practical information on how to notify and confirm a death and what happens to someone’s mortgage account when they die.
We appreciate that sorting out the administration of someone’s estate may be the last thing on your mind, but we will walk you through the steps you need to take. If taking in any information will be challenging, you may wish for a friend or relative to be on the telephone with you. You can do this by placing the call on the speaker setting.
If you have a mortgage with us and would like to borrow more against your property, you can contact our team, and they can confirm if you’re eligible or discuss your options. You can find the contact information here.
