To get more information about your current mortgage contact our customer support team. We aim to action any of your request within 5 working days. However, this timescale can increase during busy periods.

Here are some of the most common questions asked by our customers.

The start of my mortgage journey! What's next?

We will give you a call shortly after you receive your mortgage offer with us to welcome you and answer any questions you may have. A letter confirming your monthly payments will be sent to you through the post.​ Please note that your first payment amount may differ from your ongoing costs. This is to ensure you pay the correct amount of interest between the day your mortgage starts and the first payment date (this may be more or less than an entire month).

How do I retrieve a different statement not mentioned above?

Simply email customersupport@bluestonemortgages.co.uk or call 0800 368 1834, and we would be more than happy to help you with your request. Some examples include a Closed Down Redemption Statement or a Statement of Arrears.

I've been transferred onto the Bluestone Variable rate. What does this mean?

If your initial fixed interest rate has expired or you have a variable-rate mortgage, the interest rate you are charged will be the Bluestone Variable Rate (BVR).

BVR stands for Bluestone Variable Rate and is currently 6.00%. The rate does not have a direct link to the Bank of England Base Rate (BBR), which is also reviewed monthly. Typically, the BVR will move in line with BBR changes, but it could also go up or down at any other point in time, as this is a variable rate set by Bluestone Mortgages and reviewed monthly.

Can I get more information on the fees charged during my mortgage term?

Why does my first payment differ?

First payments can be higher than your ongoing monthly payment. This is because the first payment includes interest from the date we released the funds up to the end of that month, plus your payment for the following month.

For example, if we release the funds on 5 August, your first mortgage payment in September will include interest from 5 to 31 August, as well as your mortgage payment for September.

Can I change my mortgage payment due date?

After the first payment is received, the due date can be changed to the 1st or 28th of the month.
